Flooring Installation — LVP, Laminate & Hardwood

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) is our most-requested flooring in the Triangle area — and for good reason. North Carolina's humidity swings can cause wood and laminate to expand and contract, but quality LVP is 100% waterproof and dimensionally stable. It also holds up well in homes with kids and pets. We install LVP, laminate, and hardwood and can help you choose the right product for each room.

A standard room (200–400 sq ft) typically takes 4–8 hours. A whole-home installation usually runs 2–4 days depending on square footage, subfloor condition, and the number of transitions. We give you a realistic timeline during the estimate so you can plan accordingly.

We ask that you move smaller items, breakables, and electronics before we arrive. For larger furniture like sofas, beds, and dressers, we can help move pieces room-to-room as we work — just let us know during the estimate so we can factor that into scheduling.

LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) is 100% waterproof — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements. Laminate has a wood-fiber core that can swell if exposed to standing water, so it's better suited to dry areas like bedrooms and living rooms. LVP is also softer underfoot and quieter. Both are durable and realistic-looking; we can show you samples from both categories.

In some cases yes, but it depends on the existing surface and height constraints (doors, transitions, appliances). LVP can often be installed over existing vinyl or tile if the surface is flat and in good condition. We assess the subfloor during the estimate and give you an honest recommendation — we won't install over a surface that will cause problems later.

Total project cost depends on your room size, material choice, and whether any subfloor prep is needed. All estimates are free and itemized — you see exactly what you're paying for before any work begins.

LVP and laminate click-lock floors are ready to walk on immediately after installation. Glue-down installations need 24 hours. If we apply any transition strips or thresholds with adhesive, those should be left undisturbed for 24 hours as well. We'll walk you through care instructions at the end of every job.
