Hi, I’m Adam Gilpatrick, founder of HouseWise Home Services. I have a background in accounting and finance — with experience at the executive level in private equity-backed companies across consulting, landscaping, HVAC, and plumbing trades. That gave me a front-row seat to how trade service businesses operate, and more importantly, what separates the ones homeowners trust from the ones they regret calling.
Before that, I owned and operated Five Star Painting, a residential painting company in Raleigh, from 2006 to 2013. Running a trade business taught me things you can’t learn in a boardroom: show up when you say you will, communicate clearly, and stand behind your work.
Away from work, one of my greatest passions is woodworking — there’s something deeply satisfying about building something with your own hands, and that same pride carries into every job HouseWise takes on.
